Christ’s love has no limits.
His power no boundary known to man!

You will recognize the title of my message from a hymn written by Annie Johnson Flint.   We have sung it so many times when our heart was sagging with burdens and overwhelm by obstacles. 

The words and the melody of this great hymn inspire, uplift and strengthen us during times of need.     I am especially moved by the words of the refrain:

His love has no limits; His grace has no measure,
His power no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.

God is to be honored and praised in the midst of troubled times.  The Psalmist David writes:

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth is removed,
And though the mountains are carried into the midst of the sea;
Though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains
shake with its swelling”  (46:1,2).

And again in Psalms 145:3,
“Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable.”

My message to a lost and hurting world – to the poor – the forgotten – the unloved – and the unlovable is that God’s love is without limits.  It is unconditional and everlasting.   His grace goes beyond all human thought and expectation.  He forgives the worse of sins – He returns to wanderer to the fold and receives the prodigal – He embraces the fallen ones.  His power, well there are no boundaries to what he can do for you and for me. There is no miracle out of His reach for those who will simply turn to the Savior and declare, “Lord, I will follow You wherever You lead me!”

During these days of national and international concerns we can be encouraged by this hymn written by Annie Johnson Flint.   Your strength and success cometh from the Lord “Who made heaven and earth”.   Thus with confidence in His love, grace and power you can safely “Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face, and the things of the earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace.”
